In French sorry! This is the draft of my Practical Work, "Travaux pratiques" in Mineralogy.
Nom du minéral : Aragonite Classe / Sous-Classe / Famille : Carbonates Formule Chimique : CaCO3 Système de cristallisation : Orthorhombique Morphologie (faciès, habitus, agrégats, macles, caractères particuliers) : - Les cristaux sont prismatiques, souvent aciculaires, ou en édifices maclés à allure pseudo-hexagonale. Prismes à angles rentrants et à bases striées. Souvent en masses columnaires, droites ou divergentes. En forme de coraux. Eventuellement globulaire, fibreuse ou en incrustation. - HCl réagit à froid - cristaux fréquents (prismes, souvent aciculaires) avec macle pseudohexagonale, masses fibreuses, columnaires, stalactiformes Cassures et clivages : 0 PC -> conchoïdale, fragile Couleur / éclat / transparence : Transparente à translucide. Eclat vitreux, un peu résineux dans la cassure. Blanc, parfois teintes pâles.
